The Hierarchal Church of Saint Aristides Celebrates in Fira, Santorinitranslated

From September 12 to 13, 2026, the Hierarchal Church of Saint Aristides will celebrate in the Outlying Villages of Fira, Santorini, in honor of the renowned martyr Saint Aristides, philosopher and apologist. The program for this annual celebration includes:

Saturday, September 12, 7:00 PM

A Great Vespers Service with Liturgy will be celebrated. After the Vespers, the "panegyris," a traditional feast dish, will be distributed to the faithful.

Sunday, September 13, 7:30 PM

The Morning and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated, during which the Holy Word will be proclaimed by the educator Aristides Theodoropoulos, author of the work "Saint Aristides."

After the Divine Liturgy, a Procession with the Venerated Icon of Saint Aristides will take place, followed by offerings of sweets to the faithful.
