Archdiocese of America: Formation of a Tri-Person for the Diocese of New Jerseytranslated

Yesterday, September 12, the Most Reverend Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros presided over the regular meeting of the Holy Provincial Synod for the autumn period, at the Greek Orthodox School of Theology of the Holy Cross in Boston. At the beginning of the meeting, the Archbishop welcomed the members of the Holy Provincial Synod, wished them a fruitful and healthy new Ecclesiastical Year and expressed his joy for the progress of the Theological School.
Then, the Holy Provincial Synod considered the items on the agenda and, among others:
1. He praised the initiative of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Pittsburgh Mr. Savvas to communicate to the clergy of his Holy Metropolis the decision of the Holy Provincial Synod regarding the criteria for selecting candidate students for the Greek Orthodox School of Theology of the Holy Cross. Afterwards, the National Protosigello decided, through the local Protosigellos, to give instructions to the heads of the Parishes to encourage the candidate seminarians who meet the criteria set by the Holy Provincial Synod.
