Tamasou Isaias: The Saints are a living presence in the life of the Churchtranslated

The solemn High Priestly Vespers on the feast of the Holy Sunlights was celebrated with splendor in the Holy Church of the Holy Sunlights, in the community of Kato Monis. The holy procession was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan Isaias of Tamasos and Orinis, who preached the divine word, surrounded by clergy of the Holy Metropolis and in the presence of a large number of believers.
In his sermon, His Holiness referred to the testimony of the Holy Sunlights, who with their unwavering faith and sacrificial love for Christ became bright examples of holiness for the Church of Cyprus. He emphasized that the Saints do not only belong to the past, but are a living presence in the life of the Church, strengthening the faithful in their spiritual struggle and interceding continuously with God.
He made special reference to the need for modern Christians to preserve the Orthodox faith unadulterated, to live with a spirit of repentance, humility and love, remaining steadfast to the values of the Gospel amid the challenges of our time.
