Brilliant celebration of Saints Anargyri in Nea Ioniatranslated

Today, Sunday, November 1, 2026, with particular splendor and the participation of a large number of believers, the Solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the feast of the glorious miracle-working and healing Saints Cosmas and Damianus was celebrated in the homonymous celebratory Holy Metropolitan Church of Nea Ionia. The Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ioannina, Mr. Maximos, co-officiating with the local Pastor, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalkidon, Mr. Gavriel, while the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aeneos, Mr. Makarios, joined in praying inside the Holy Step.

A crowd of devout Christians came to the celebrating Metropolitan Church, in order to participate in the eucharistic meeting and worship the holy icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Root of Jesse", coming from Asia Minor, as well as the holy relics of the Saints Anargyri, receiving their blessing and grace.
