The Praises of the Old Nurse in Patrastranslated

A multitude of pious people went up to the famous and historic Monastery of Panagia Gerokomitissa in Patras on the afternoon of Sunday, August 9, in order to greet and bless the most holy and immortal Mother of Emmanuel and to sing Her Praises, which were written with his holy hands, the blessed Metropolitan Dionysios of Old Patras, in the year 1541 AD The Holy Congregation was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Patras, Mr. Chrysostomos, who preached the divine word, after analyzing the hagiographic passages: "Blessed are the wombs and the breasts of those who nursed" and "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it".

Finally, His Eminence inspired the piety of the Patraic People and wished from the bottom of his heart to all, the due through the embassies of the Most Holy Theotokos.
