With sentiments of human sorrow and the hope of the coming Resurrection, the Holy Metropolis of Rhodes announces the ordination to the Lord of the Reverend Presbyter Mr. Michael Kapsalis, Retired Vicar, in the early morning hours of August 9, 2012. Blessed was born in the year 1947 in Cyprus. In 1982 he was ordained a Deacon and the following year an Elder by the blessed Metropolitan of Rhodes Mr Spyridon. He served as Priest in the Parish of Pastidas from his ordination until the year 2015, when he was transferred to the Parish of the Assumption of the Theotokos Ialyssos, having at the same time the stewardship of the Holy Monastery of Filerimou. He retired in January of the year 2024. The enshrinement of the Blessed Sacrament will be moved on the evening of August 11 at around 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos Pastidas and will be put on a pilgrimage. The Holy Church will remain open throughout the night. On the morning of Wednesday, August 12, 2026 and around 07:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be performed.
