Eastern Thrace comes alive again in Thermaikostranslated

With a focus on Eastern Thrace, the 6th International Scientific Conference "Hellenism and the World" continued today, which was hosted in the hall of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Thermaikos, gathering the interest of the academic community and citizens who wished to attend its work.

The conference was attended by university professors, scientists and delegates, clergy, students, as well as people interested in the history and culture of Hellenism and its timeless presence in the wider region.

The "present" was given by the Metropolitan of Miletus Mr. Apostolos, representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomeu, the Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, representative of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, as well as the Metropolitan of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, Mr. Ioustinos.

The work of the conference continues with reports and scientific approaches that highlight the historical path of Hellenism in Eastern Thrace, the importance of historical memory and the aspects of cultural heritage that are still the subject of study and research.
