The Metropolitan Ioustinos of Kalamaria at the Land Army War Schooltranslated

Another pastoral visit, to the Camp of "Armor Chief Dimitrios Dalipis" of Kalamaria, was made by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, Mr. Ioustinos. His Eminence was invited by the Commanding Officer of the School, Brigadier General Mr. Dimitrios Xogiannis, to speak at the educational series of this period.

Thus, in front of more than a hundred Officer-Students, Greeks and foreigners, he proposed the topic: "the sacrifices of the Greek clergy during the Macedonian Struggle".

Relying on archival sources, he presented the historical circumstances that caused the start of the Macedonian struggle, he pointed out the enormous contribution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the preservation of the Greek consciousness of the inhabitants of Macedonia, as well as to the confrontation of Bulgarian expansionism, and he focused his presentation on the Roman clergy who sacrificed themselves in favor of the Greekness of Macedonia.

The presentation aroused intense interest and deep emotion among the officers present.
