Florinis Irenaios: The honor of the Holy Relics reveals the Church's belief in eternal lifetranslated

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios, went to the Holy Monastery of Saints Panteleimon and Evvoulis Amyntaios, where he presided over the reception of the Holy Relic of Saint Parthenius, Bishop of Lampsakos, and then officiated at the High Priestly Vespers. The Holy Relic was presented by the Professor of the Holy Monastery of Agia Triado Vythos of the Holy Metropolis of Sisani and Siatist, His Eminence Archimandrite Mr. Maximos Georgopoulos.

The service was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Amyntaio, Mr. Apostolos Theodorou, the President of the Community of Agios Panteleimonos, Mr. Antonios Blagas, as well as a large number of pilgrims, who came to worship the graceful Holy Relic.

In his sermon, the Pastor first referred to the sanctity of the human body, stressing that the body is a creation of God and a temple of the Holy Spirit. He pointed out that the Grace of God sanctifies the whole person, soul and body, and that the honor of the Holy Relics reveals the Church's belief that the whole person is destined for the Resurrection and eternal life.
