First High Priestly Divine Liturgy of Bishop Asterios Kallinikostranslated

In an atmosphere of emotion and with the blessing of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kaisarianis, Byronos and Hymettos, Mr. Daniel, the High Priestly Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Sunday, October 18, by the minister of the Theophilist Bishop Asterios, Mr. Kallinikos, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral Byronos. In his sermon, the Most Reverend Bishop Mr. Kallinikos emphasized the need to resemble the ascetic figure that our Holy Church today honors, the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke.
Although the Evangelist Luke had a prominent position in society and had conquered worldly wisdom, he was looking for something more that would be deeper in his being to lead him elsewhere, to the knowledge and Godly Wisdom that he acquired through his spiritual struggle.
Finally, all the fathers of the Holy Church as well as the faithful people wished the new Bishop that he would be worthy and that the Triune God would grant him a long life so that he could zealously serve the Holy Altar.
