Archbishop of America Elpidophoros welcomed Stamatios Kartalopoulos on the occasion of the publication of his new historical worktranslated

The Most Reverend Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros welcomed the Archon Official of the M.t.H.E., Dr. Stamatios V. Kartalopoulos, who offered him his new two-volume work, Ancient Hellenic Cities in Asia Minor: Where the "Stones Still Speak". The extensive work is the fruit of many years of historical research, travel and document collection. It presents more than 1,600 ancient Greek cities and their history in Asia Minor, some neighboring Aegean islands and Eastern Thrace. Utilizing historical, archaeological, numismatic, epigraphic and ecclesiastical sources, Dr. Kartalopoulos seeks to preserve in the collective memory those communities whose contribution to Hellenism and Christianity maintains its importance throughout the centuries.

The two-volume work is prefaced by His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew and His Eminence the Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros.
