Lonely barber in the celebrating Holy Monastery of Archangel Almopiatranslated

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, commemoration of the miracle of the Archangel Michael in Chonai, in the Catholic Church of the celebratory Holy Monastery of the Archangel Almopia, a High Priestly Vespers was held, officiated by the Theophilest Bishop of Almopia, Mr. Stefanos. In his sermon, the Most Holy Theophilus referred to the Archangels and the celebrated miracle, singling out the great faith of Saint Archippus, who was miraculously saved by the Archangel Michael. At the end of Vespers, the established Litany was performed around the Catholic Church of the Monastery.

On the day of the feast, Sunday 6/9, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Edessa, Pelli and Almopia Mr. Ioel celebrated the solemn Divine Liturgy, at the end of which he ordained Mr. Charalambos Ergatoudis, son of a priestly family and for many years a cadet of the Monastery, a Monk, giving him the name of Chariton.

In the holy services, the Professor of the I. Monastery, Archimandrite Epiphanios, the members of the holy brotherhood, clergy of the area and a multitude of believers participated. Also present were the Member of Parliament of Pella, Mr. V. Vassiliadis and other representatives of the local authorities and agencies.
