"Turkey's expansionism is beyond our will. The will to fight, however, depends on us." This was stated, among other things, during his greeting to the World Conference of Cypriots of the Diaspora by the Archbishop of Cyprus, Mr. George.  The Opening Ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at The Landmark Nicosia, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and the Primate of the Church of Cyprus, His Beatitude Archbishop, Mr. Georgiou.

This year's Conference – which concludes today, July 31 – takes on special significance, as it marks 50 years since the establishment of the World Federation of Cypriot Diaspora (WIF), honoring the Organization's long-term contribution to maintaining the ties of the Cypriot diaspora with the homeland.

At the same time, this year is the World Congress of Cypriot Expatriate Youth (NEPOMAK) and within the framework of the work of the Conference, the elections will be held to elect the new Central Council of NEPOMAK, signaling the continuity and active participation of the new generation of the Cypriot diaspora.
