The actions of "Karellio" for dementia in the Municipality of Loutraki, Perachora and Agioi Theodoros have been completedtranslated

With informative speeches and free memory tests at the Loutraki and Agioi Theodori Hospitals, the cycle of activities of "Karellio", the Integrated Unit for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Diseases of the "APOSTOLI" Charity Organization of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, in collaboration with the Municipality of Loutraki, Perachora and Agioi Theodori and the MEGA company, was completed. The actions were carried out on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day, with the aim of informing and raising awareness among citizens about dementia and the importance of early recognition of its symptoms.

The specialized scientific staff of "Karellio" informed the participants about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, the early symptoms, the available therapeutic and supportive interventions, as well as the ways of managing the difficulties in the daily life of people living with dementia. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of carers, with practical advice on how to deal with everyday challenges and support people with dementia more effectively.

At the same time, free memory tests were carried out for people over 60 years old, with the aim of detecting possible cognitive disorders...
