Battle with flames in Boeotia and Atticatranslated

Firefighters and volunteers continue to fight the flames in the fires that broke out yesterday in Viotia, with the fronts of fire extending to Attica and specifically to Porto Germenos. According to the latest update from the Fire Department, the firefighting forces have been reinforced again and specifically, 496 firefighters are operating with 22 groups of pedestrians from the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th and 18th EMODE divisions, volunteers and 134 vehicles, (including 23 firefighters with 4 vehicles from France and 23 firefighters with 4 vehicles from Romania, which are in our country as part of the Pre-installation of European firefighters).

19 aircraft and 11 helicopters have been allocated for aerial firefighting, including one for their coordination. As clarified by the Fire Department, very strong and even gale-force winds continue to create extremely difficult conditions, with the result that in many cases aerial vehicles are either unable to take water or unable to make drops due to extreme turbulence, despite the continuous efforts of the crews.
