114th anniversary of the liberation of Elassona – The message of Maximos Charakopoulostranslated

In Elassona, as a representative of the government, the Secretary General of the New Democracy Parliamentary Group and MP for Larissa, Maximos Harakopoulos, attended the events for the 114th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Ottoman yoke, during the Balkan Wars of 1912. Mr. Harakopoulos attended the anniversary events and the parade, while after the laying of wreaths at the monument to the fallen, he referred to the importance of the historic anniversary, underlining the need for unity and political stability, especially in times when the country is facing serious challenges.
"Greece of the Balkan Wars flourished because institutions and society demonstrated the imposed unity. The only goal of the fighting Hellenism of the heroic period 1912-1913 was the liberation of the unredeemed brothers and the occupied Greek lands.
