Eleftheroupoleos Chrysostomos: Technology must remain at the service of mantranslated

On Monday, September 28, 2026, the first monthly Priestly Assembly of the clergy for the new catechetical period 2026-2027 was held at the Conference Center of the Holy Metropolis of Eleftheroupolis "Agios Ioannis o Chrysostomos". At the beginning, the established Consecration was performed by the Reverend Mr. Chrysostomos, who wished everyone a good and fruitful catechetical year. Subsequently, His Holiness developed the theme of the first Synod under the title "Current Pastoral Issues". In the introduction, he referred to the difficulties that accompany the pastoral work of the Church over time, having as the supreme example the Lord Jesus Christ himself, the model of the Good Shepherd, who faced the unbelief, the reaction and the hostility of the people. He emphasized that each era presents its own particular pastoral challenges and called on priests to face the difficulties of their ministry with faith, patience and stability, without discouragement and retreat.
