Chrysostomos of Messinia in the Holy Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos of Farontranslated

In the Holy Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos, in the district of Faron, in the city of Kalamata, where, for the established annual pilgrimage, the Holy Icon of the Virgin Mary of Dimiovitis, from the Holy Monastery of Dimiovi, was transferred on the morning of Sunday, September 6, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Messinia Mr. Chrysostomos and precentor of the Divine Liturgy.

His Eminence was flanked by Protopresbyters Ioannis Parthenios, Efstathios Baroutsos and Sotirios Papadopoulos and Deacon Theophilos Kyriakos, while the sacred lectern was graced by the Protopsalti of the Metropolitan Church of Kalamata and Director of the School of Byzantine Music of the Holy Metropolis of Messinia, Mr. Kon/nos Siachos with the dance of his students.

Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence, preaching the divine word, referred to the Gospel passage of the day and at the end wished the Most Holy Theotokos to give strength and courage to the whole world and especially to our brothers who are being tested.
