The event of the Outdoor Catechetical Synagogues of the Diocese of Limassol was held with great successtranslated

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the morning event for the children of the rural Catechetical Synagogues, organized by the Versatile Youth Office of the Holy Diocese of Limassol, took place with joy and spiritual rejoicing in the welcoming grounds of our Diocese's Camp in Saitta. More than 100 children from 10 different communities of mountainous Limassol attended this beautiful meeting. The event started in the Church of the Camp with a short welcoming speech by the Theophilus Bishop Amathoustos Mr. Nikolaos. Theophilastos underlined the importance of such actions, stressing that their main goal is to strengthen the bonds between the Catechetical Synagogues. He also pointed out that through these joint meetings, the children realize that they are not alone in their spiritual struggle in Christ.

As he pointed out, although in a small community the number of children may be limited, the gathering of all together reveals a large group of young people who share the same interests, the same anxieties and the same concerns.
