The feast of Agios Gerasimos in I.M. Aetoliatranslated

On Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October 2026, the holy memory of our Holy and God-bearing Father Gerasimos, the New Ascetic, of Kefallinia was celebrated with splendor. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Akarnania presided over the Vespers service in the afternoon of the eve and preached the divine word in the celebrating Holy Church of Agios Gerasimos, in the local community of Varnaka. Varnakas belongs to the Municipal Community of Alyzias of the Municipality of Xiromeros and is perched on the Akarnanika Mountains, overlooking the Ionian Sea.

On the morning of Tuesday, October 20, 2026, he officiated at the Holy Mass and presided over the High Priestly Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of Agios Gerasimos in Kefalovrysos, Messolonghi.
