Delegation of the Moscow Patriarchate to the President and Prime Minister of Lebanontranslated

A delegation of the Russian Church was in Lebanon headed by the President of the Department of External Church Relations, Metropolitan of Volokolamsk Mr. Antonio, on the occasion of the anniversary celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Stock Exchange in the capital of Lebanon.  In this context, the strong ties between the two Churches were once again confirmed during the meeting the delegation had with the Patriarch of Antioch, Mr. Ioannis, as well as the rest of the contacts.

To President Joseph Aoun As part of its presence in Beirut, the Russian delegation was received by the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun. The Metropolitan of Volokolamsk Mr. Antonios conveyed the greetings of the Patriarch of Moscow Mr. Cyril to the leader of Lebanon. His Holiness spoke of the importance of the Russian Orthodox Church Delegation in Lebanon and the Antiochian Delegation in Moscow as bridges connecting the two Churches and the peoples they serve.
