Serron Theologian: "The Mother of God, spiritual Mother and unfailing support of our Church"translated

In the holy Church of Com. Theotokos of Serres, officiated today, Sunday, August 16, 2026, by Rev. Metropolitan of Serres and Nigrite Mr. Theologos. During the Mystagogia, the sacrament of ordination to the ministry of Mr. Michael Alexoudis was performed, who, responding to the call of our Lord, joined organically, as a married clergyman, in the active force of the Church of Serres.

His Eminence, inspired by the passage (4, 1-5) of the first letter to the Corinthians of Paul the Apostle of the nations: "Thus are you reckoned to us as a man, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God...", addressed fatherly admonitions and advice to the newly ordained deacon, stressing fatherly, among others the following: "Today, my child Michael, by the grace of the holy God, you come freely to receive the first degree of the holy priesthood, so that you may serve, as a faithful minister of Jesus Christ, His holy Church. You come before the Lord, today, with a firm decision, to serve Him with all your soul and to receive the unmade robe of the holy priesthood.
