Kastoria honors Saint Nicanoras the Miracle Worker - The program of the festivaltranslated
The Holy Diocese of Kastoria announces the annual holy celebration in memory of Saint Nikanoros the Wonderworker, patron of the children of Kastoria and local Saint of the Holy Diocese, on the two days of August 6 and 7, 2026, in the celebrating Holy Parish Church of Saint Nikanoros in Chloe, Kastoria. During this year's celebration, the city of Kastoria will welcome the Holy Relic of Saint Demetrius of Myrovlitos from the city of his martyrdom, Thessaloniki, for the blessing and sanctification of the pious people.
They will participate in the holy services, as guests of the familiar Pastor Rev. The Metropolitan of Kastoria, Mr. Kallinikos, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheos (who will carry the Holy Relic) and the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa, Mr. Alexios, while the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Mr. George Costidis.
