First High Priestly Divine Liturgy of Kydonias Titos at the celebratory Holy Church of Agios Panteleimonos in Halepatranslated

On Monday, July 27, 2026, the liturgical events for the feast of the Holy Glorious Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon culminated with splendor in the eponymous celebratory Holy Church of Halepa, Chania. The solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kydonia and Apokoronou Mr. Titos, flanked by clerics of the Holy Metropolis.
The divine word was preached by the invited Protopresbyter Fr. Christos Mitsios, clergyman of the Holy Metropolis of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri, known for his many years of ministry to the youth and his direct and experiential pastoral speech.
Father Christos presented Saint Panteleimon as a model of faith, love and selfless giving. He referred to the medical ministry of the Saint, who offered free treatment to the sick and for this reason he is included in the choir of Saints Anargyri. He also underlined the steadfastness of the young doctor in faith, who was not swayed by either the threats or the promises of the emperor, because his heart was full of the presence of Christ.
