Students of the 4th High School of Rethymnon at the Holy Four Martyrs and at the "Bloom and Bear" painting exhibitiontranslated

On the morning of Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos, had the pleasure of welcoming, at the Holy Church of the Four Holy Martyrs of the city of Rethymno, a group of male and female students of the 3rd grade of the 4th High School of Rethymno, accompanied by their teachers. During the visit, His Holiness had the opportunity to talk with the children about the life, martyrdom and timeless messages of the Holy Four Martyrs, as well as about the historical significance of the Arcadian Voluntary Sacrifice, of which this year marks 160 years. A fruitful and meaningful dialogue with the students followed.

Afterwards, the children visited the individual painting exhibition of the artist Ms. Sophia Ameridou, entitled "Blooming and bearing", which is hosted in the event hall of the Holy Church of the Holy Four Martyrs.
