Amman: Cypriot delegation to the Archbishop of Kyriakoupolistranslated

The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Cyprus for Religious Freedoms and the Protection of Minorities in the Middle East, Thessaly-Salina Siabou, visited the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Amman on August 5, 2026, accompanied by Ambassador Sevag Avetissian and a Cypriot delegation. In the meeting with the Archbishop of Kyriakoupolis, Mr. Christophoros, the close ties of Cyprus with the Patriarchate of Jerusalem were reaffirmed.
Mrs. Siabou also visited the clinic "St. Luke's Medical Association". The management of the clinic expressed its thanks for the specialized medical equipment donated by the Republic of Cyprus, as well as for the pharmaceutical products offered by the Khoury Group company, following the initiative of the Cypriot Embassy.
The initiative is part of the broader effort of the Republic of Cyprus to support religious and other vulnerable communities in the Middle East, with an emphasis on humanitarian aid, education and maintaining the presence of historic Christian communities in the region.
