Aegina celebrated Agios Sozontastranslated

Aegina celebrated with splendor the memory of the Holy Glorious Great Martyr Sozontos, during the two days of September 6 and 7. On the evening of Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Great Vespers was celebrated in the celebratory Holy Church of Agios in the village of Perdika. The Holy Word was proclaimed by Panosiol. Chief Father Amfilochios Geladakis General Hierarchical Overseer of Aegina.

This was followed by the procession of the Holy Icon in the central streets of Perdika. The local authorities and a large number of believers attended.

On Monday, September 7, 2026, the liturgy and the Divine Liturgy were held in the celebratory Church of Agios Sozontas Perdikas, Aegina. The Holy Word was proclaimed by Panosiol. Chief Father Ioannis Maris. This was followed by a feast in the hall of the Holy Church.
