On the morning of Monday, August 17, 2026, the inauguration of the two-story Holy Church of Saints Ilias the New and Saints Anthony of the Holy Monastery of Agioi Anargyro Parnonas was held with the appropriate ecclesiastical magnificence. The holy service was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta, Mr. Efstathios, who was co-celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop of Lacedaemonia, Mr. Theophilos, the preacher of the local Church, His Eminence Archimandrite Eustathius Porphyris, the Professor, His Eminence Archimandrite Grigorios Valtogiannis with the brotherhood of the Monastery and several clergymen of the Holy Metropolis of Monemvasia and Sparta.

The newly built Church was a kind donation of Mrs. Olympia Papantoniou in memory of her brother Antonio Papantoniou, a lawyer from Nicosia, Cyprus.

Our revered Pastor, during the ceremony, explained to the devout pilgrims the process and symbolism of each action. This was followed, in a joyful atmosphere, by the celebration of the first High Priestly Divine Liturgy.
