Samos: Feast of Saint Markella and the 31st anniversary of her Episcopal Ordination of Metropolitan Eusebiustranslated

Today, the Holy Chapel of the same name in the city of Samos celebrated the memory of Saint Glorious Great Martyr Markelli of Hiopolitis. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Eusebius, where he preached the homily, supported by clergy of the Holy Metropolis and in the presence of a large number of believers.
July 22nd is a special day for the local Church, because in 1995 His Eminence was ordained a Bishop in the Holy Cathedral of the Holy Trinity of Piraeus, by his blessed Elder, Metropolitan of Piraeus Kallinikos.
This year marks thirty-one (31) years since that blessed day.
"The Akriti Holy Metropolis glorifies the All-Merciful God for the blessed and fruitful High Priestly ministry of our Reverend Pastor and we hope that the Lord, through the embassies of Saint Markella, will grant us a healthy, long-lived and straight-cutting word of the Truth, in many and blessed years", the Holy Metropolis wishes in its announcement.
