Focusing on the history, spiritual tradition and cultural heritage of the Hellenism of Eastern Thrace, the official opening of the 6th International Scientific Conference "Hellenism and Oikoumeni", organized by the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, with the support of the Municipality of Thermaikos, took place today, Friday 16 October 2026.
The opening event was hosted at the Museum of Byzantine Culture of Thessaloniki, at 19:00, in the presence of representatives of the Church, the state and the academic community, as well as clergy, university staff, students and other guests.
La conférence, ayant pour thème la Thrace orientale, aspire à mettre en lumière des aspects importants du parcours historique de l'hellénisme, de sa tradition religieuse et du rayonnement œcuménique de personnalités liées à la région thrace au sens large.
