Saint Silouanos the Athonite was mentioned by the Professor of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi Elder Ephraim during his spiritual speech in Vatopedino Metohi in Porto Lagos, talking about the will of God and the spiritual life of man. The speech took place on the afternoon of Friday, September 25, 2026, in the context of the feast of Panagia Pantanassi, which is honored and celebrated in Vatopedino Metohi.

A crowd of believers from Greece and abroad gathered in Porto Lagos to watch Elder Ephraim's speech.

The Elder referred to issues of spiritual life and the difficulties that man faces in his daily life, having as a point of reference Saint Siluanos the Athonite.
