The Mayor of Volos Achilleas Beos in I.M.M. Vatopedioutranslated
The Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi was visited today, October 20, 2026, by the Mayor of Volos, Achilleas Beos, where he held a meeting with the Monastery's Professor, Elder Ephraim. As the Mayor of Volos wrote on his personal social media:
Today I visited Mount Athos and the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, where I met Elder Ephraim, who always loves and is interested in our Volos.
In the place of prayer and silence, the meeting was an opportunity for spiritual upliftment and to ask a blessing for the city and its people.
Our wish and prayer: that God enlightens some people in particular and that they finally truly love our city, Volos.
