Sunday Discipleship: Christ and the angelstranslated
The Jews, to whom the letter of the Apostle Paul is addressed, had to know how to prioritize Christ, angels and people orthodoxly and without misunderstandings, emphasizing that it is not possible to be obedient to the commands of angels but disobedient to the commands of Christ, who was not a simple creator of everything, therefore also of angels, but also the one who became flesh for the sake of salvation of people. As a man, Christ may be inferior to the angels, but as a man of God, he is incomparably superior, because salvation comes from him alone, with the angels being simply ministers in the service of God and people, explains Apostolos Nikolaidis, Emeritus Professor of Theology at EKPA & President of the Institute "Agios Maximos o Greek".
