La fête de Sainte Euphémie la Grande Martyre à Corfoutraduit

Le samedi 11 juillet 2026, jour de la fête de Sainte Euphémie la Glorieuse Grande Martyre, le Très Révérend Métropolite de Corfou, de Paxos et des Îles Diapontiques, M. Nektarios, a officié et a prononcé un discours au Saint Monastère de célébration Palaifata de Sainte Euphémie, dans la zone de Mon Repo de la ville de Corfou. Lors de la Divine Liturgie, Sa Sainteté était flanquée, entre autres, de l'archimandrite de panosiologie Christodoulos Triantafyllos, professeur du Saint Monastère des Saints Théodore Tironos et Georgios Tropaioforos Stratias et prédicateur de la Sainte Métropole, des prêtres des paroisses voisines, ainsi que de ses diacres. Les hymnes de la fête ont été interprétés avec un soin particulier et dans un style bouleversant par une danse byzantine, sous la direction du directeur de l'École de musique byzantine de la Sainte Métropole de Corfou, Saint Arsenios", M. Nikolaou Makropoulou.

Dans ce Saint Monastère historique vit la religieuse Olympiada, qui, avec zèle et abnégation, lutte pour la rénovation, la revitalisation et le refleurissement de la confrérie monastique, en faisant des efforts constants pour que ce lieu puisse retrouver la vie spirituelle et le rayonnement du passé.
