The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in West Jerusalemtranslated

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was traditionally celebrated on the Sunday after Ascension 21 September / 4 October 2026 at the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross, in West Jerusalem near the Jewish Parliament. This practice has always been followed in the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, based on the ancient tradition that in the area of the Monastery Abraham's nephew, Lot, planted the three-composite wood of cedar, cypress and pine, from which the Holy Cross of Christ was cut, on which he was attached for our Crucified Lord Jesus Christ.
Representations of this event are displayed in the chapel in the north-eastern part of the Church, where the ceremony of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is held every year.
