Magnificent litany procession in Moscow (PHOTO)translated

Majestic litanic procession led by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia etc. Cyril was held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the central streets of Moscow, on the occasion of the feast of the Synod of Saints of Moscow. On the morning of the same day, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

Then the all-Russian procession took place during which the holy icon of Our Lady of Smolensk, the holy relic of Prince Dmitry Donskoy and the holy icon of the Saints of Moscow were litanically.

Bishops, clergy, monks, state officials and thousands of faithful walked along the historic route with the Moscow Patriarch, despite heavy rain.
