The Metropolitan of Nafpaktos, Mr. Ierotheos, gave an interview to the radio station SKAI yesterday, August 14, 2026, to the journalist Nikos Andritsos. On the occasion of Summer Easter, the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, the joy of Christians, residents, excursionists, foreigners and emigrants of Nafpaktia, the interview touched on social, cultural, theological, folklore elements of Nafpaktos and its mountainous hinterland.

The optimistic theological message of the holiday to the unquenchable problems of man remains relevant and in demand.

Metropolitan Hierotheos always cuts through the noise. I liked how he tied the Dormition – that “summer Pascha” – to the folks heading back from holidays or working away from Naupactus, not just the theology bit. The audio’s on my list for the drive home tonight.
