One of the most beloved Holy Mysteries is the Holy Blessing Oil. The oil of the Holy Wish is a blessed gift of the Church and a symbol of God's love, mercy and healing grace. The Holy Blessing Oil is performed for the healing of the sick, the forgiveness of sins and the empowerment of man in the struggle of life. The sanctified oil reminds us that Christ is the true Physician of souls and bodies and that His grace acts through the Holy Mysteries of the Church, Protopresbyter Themistocles Christodoulou tells us in the show Liturgy MetaLiturgia.

Last year, after the Euchelaion in the "St. Kliment" church in Ohrid, we heard the oil at home and I put it on my niece when she had a sore throat - it wasn't magical, but the next day it was better and we all calmed down.
