Dimitriados Ignatius: "Let us save the collective memory of our place"translated

With particular interest and the participation of representatives from administrative, educational, cultural, and scientific institutions, on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolitan Dimitriados and Almury, the presentation of the new thematic year of "Magnets of the Ark," titled "Magnets & Memory 2027–2028: Impressions of Faith, History, and Culture." This new initiative of the cultural office of the Holy Metropolitan, "Magnets of the Ark, for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage," aims to be a broad field of collaboration and creative meeting of institutions and citizens, with a common goal of preserving, documenting, and showcasing the historical, ecclesiastical, and cultural memory of Magnesia. At the meeting, representatives of the Region of Thessaly, the Municipality of Volos, the educational community, libraries, cultural and scientific collections, local collectivities, as well as representatives of the Port Authority and the Military Aviation, were present. Their presence and active participation highlighted the strong interest in the development of collaborations and the implementation of actions that will contribute to the preservation of the collective memory of the place.
