"Arkadi – Unpeakable Summit of Human History": Commemorative Event for 160 Years of Arkadi Volunteerismtranslated

On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the Arkadi Volunteerism, the "Musical Harvest" and the First Grade Education Directorate of N. Rethymno, in collaboration with the Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, the Prefecture of Crete–Rethymno Regional Unit, and the Municipality of Rethymno, organize a commemorative and memorial event dedicated to one of the peak events in Cretan history. The event, titled "Arkadi – Unpeakable Summit of Human History," will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in the "Pantelis Prevelakis" Hall (Rethymno Avenue, Vernadou 1).

Through music and the word, the event will showcase the timeless power of the memory of Arkadi and the high message of the volunteerism of its fighters, which is a timeless symbol of freedom, faith, and self-sacrifice.

The event will feature:

a) The Mixed Children's Choir of the "Musical Harvest"

and

b) The Orchestra of the First Grade Education of N. Rethymno.
