The conditions for the admission of Foreigners - Allogenes proposed by the Church to the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academiestranslated

The conditions for belonging to the special category of Foreigners - Allogenes candidates, proposed by the Church of Greece, in the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies are defined by a decision of the Minister of Education Sophia Zaharakis, which was published on September 23, 2026 in the Government Gazette. In particular, the decision states the following:

Article 1

Conditions for belonging to the special category of candidates of par. 6 of article 4 of Law 3432/2006 (A' 14)

The special category of candidates includes Foreigners - Allogenes recommended by the Church of Greece.

Specifically, this category includes:

1. Foreigners - Aliens, who are recommended by the Church of Greece, graduates of a high school or equivalent school of countries outside the European Union, based abroad, the title of which entitles them to admission to the Universities of the country in which they graduate or the country whose educational program is followed by the graduation school, provided that: a) at least one of the candidates' parents is not of Greek origin b) they have attended with full-time studies at least in…
