The Youth Office of the Holy Metropolis of Thira, Amorgos and the Islands, continuing the effort to create youth and children's animated videos, proceeded to publish a new video dedicated to the events of the Nativity of the Virgin, as preserved in the Sacred Tradition of our Church and celebrated on September 8.

Why does the Church characterize the Nativity of the Virgin Mary as joy for the entire world?
In this video we follow, through the Orthodox Tradition and the hymnology of the Church, the story of the Holy and Righteous Godfathers Joachim and Anna, their prayer and the Birth of the Most Holy Theotokos.
A holiday that leads us from sadness to joy, from anticipation to hope and finally to the great mystery of the Incarnation of Christ.

"Your Birth, Theotokos, heralded joy to the whole world..."
The life of Saints Joachim and Anna leaves us with a deep spiritual message: even when the answer seems to be delayed, prayer and hope in God are not lost.
