The World Council of Cretans commemorated the 160th anniversary of the Arkadius Holocausttranslated

In an atmosphere of unity, emotion and historical memory, the Annual General Assembly of the World Council of Cretans (WCC) was held on Monday, July 27, 2026 at the historic Arkadi Monastery in Rethymnon, in the presence of representatives of WCC member organizations. from all over the world, as well as representatives of the State, Local Government and the Church. The work of the Assembly began with the blessings of the Abbot's Counselor of the Holy Monastery of Arkadiou, Panosiology Archimandrite Theologian Papalevizakis. In the presence of the members of the Executive Committee of the World Council of Cretans, the Vice-President Mr. Fotis Fiotodimitrakis, the Secretary Ms. Maria Vamvaki and the Treasurer Ms. Nicoleta Pigounakis, followed the report of the President of the P.S.K., Mr. Nikos Kastrinakis. The President presented the actions and initiatives of the organization during the last year and referred to the particularly successful organization of the 7th World Congress of Cretans, which took place in Chania.
