Georgia: In the big family of the Church, hundreds of neophytes in Adjaria (PHOTO)translated

About 1,300 people, including children and adults, were baptized yesterday, Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Ano Ajaria, in an occasion whose joy is shared by all of Georgia and the entire Church, as the sacraments cannot be celebrated only for one person, but concern the entire Church, said the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia His Excellency. Sio III. The Patriarch made these statements in Adjaria after a mass baptism held by the Schalta Diocese.

"We, the great family of the Church, welcomed the newly enlightened, just as godparents do, and accepted them into our great church family as our own. That is why the whole Church rejoices today," said the Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
