Saint Theodora in Kiveri – A Queen who became a Sainttranslated

Today, Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Parish of Kiverius reverently received the holy relics of Our Lady Theodora, Queen of Arti, in the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos. The Most Reverend Metropolitan Artis, Mr. Kallinikos, with the blessing and permission of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argolis, Mr. Nektarios, buried the holy relics in the Parish as part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Holy Church. Immediately after the reception, a holy vigil was held by the minister of Metropolitan Artis.

The Rev. Prot. Petros Athanasopoulos and General Hierarchal Commissioner of I.M. Argolidos thanked Rev. Metropolitan of Argolis Mr. Nektarios who granted his blessing, Rev. Metropolitan Artis Mr. Kalliniko for his presence, the priests and all the faithful who came to the reception and the holy vigil.

At the end of the Holy Vigil, the founding memorial service of the Parish of Kiverio will be sung. This year marks twenty years since the death of the founder of the Holy Church, Priest Georgios Davelos, and thirty years since the death of Priest Athanasios Bouzios.
