Exhibition of paintings, drawings and documents: "Nikos Gavriel Pentzikis: Thremma of Athos"translated

As part of the 61st Dimitrios of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the Agioreitiki Estia presents the exhibition of paintings, drawings and documents entitled: "Nikos Gavriil Pentzikis: Thremma of Athos". The exhibition opened to the public today, Friday, October 23, while its opening will be celebrated by S.A. the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos A. Tasoulas, on Monday, October 26.

For Nikos Gavriel Pentzikis (1908–1993), Mount Athos was not just a place of pilgrimage or a destination with special religious and historical significance. It was a world of deep spiritual experience, a field of constant learning, and a place of inner ferment, which unceasingly fed his thinking, writing, and painting. His relationship with the Athonian State, which spans six decades and includes 94 visits, was one of the most stable and essential components of his creative path.
