Prince Hussein of Jordan at the place of Baptism of Christtranslated

The intensive preparations that have begun at the place of Christ's Baptism in the Jordan River on the occasion of the 2000-year anniversary of this saving event for humanity, which will be celebrated in 2030, were inspected by the Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Hussein. The Prince of Jordan was briefed on the progress of the work as well as the planning of the anniversary which will put Jordan in the global spotlight.
The initiative to revive the 2000th anniversary of the Baptism of the Lord was initiated by Jordan and the Council of Church Leaders of the country and, from the first moment, received the interest and support of King Abdullah II, who instructed the government to adopt the initiative and proceed with its preparation in a manner worthy of the importance of the event and the importance of the place of Baptism.
