K. Pierrakakis to Daniel Romania: Romania and Greece, united by very strong tiestranslated

The Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis was received today, Saturday, by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Romania, Mr. Daniel in the Patriarchal Residence. "Romania and Greece are united by very strong ties, which last for centuries", stressed the Greek official. The ambassador of Greece in Bucharest, Evangelia Grammatica, also participated in the official visit. Discussions focused on relations between the two countries, current challenges and the role of social cohesion.
The Greek Finance Minister said the meeting also discussed ways to support social cohesion and how "we could do more for our societies and peoples".
"I thank His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel very much for the wonderful meeting we had," said Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
During the visit, the Romanian Patriarch offered the Greek officials several volumes published by the Romanian Patriarchate and signed by His Beatitude.
