It is good that Bishop Nicholas of Amafunt served at the Liturgy. I remember how last year, on a similar day, my wife and I went to the Church of Elijah the Prophet and after the service we treated everyone to pies with apples from our garden. The holiday was soulful.

It’s good that Vladyka Nikolai served this year. And your apple pies are probably all gone to pieces? In our church in Kazan, after the holiday, we also always try to bake and distribute something, but our apples are probably not as sweet as in Cyprus.
