Grace and joy to Katavi and Kigoma for their first priesttranslated

Full grace and joy on Sunday, September 20 in Katavi and Kigoma with the ordination of the first priest, Hieromonach Augustinos. Kigoma gave birth to him, Katavi raised him as a monk and offers him back to Kigoma her priest.

Father Augustinos became a monk in 1998 at the then Catholic Holy Monastery of Agia Triado Katavi. After 28 years and after converting to Orthodoxy, he studied at the Priestly School of Bukomba. On 7/15 he was ordained a deacon in the Parish of the Holy Apostles Jason and Sosipatro in Mpanda, the capital of Katavi.

And yesterday at the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Luhafwe, Metohi of the Holy Trinity Monastery, Fr. Augustinos received the second degree of priesthood from Theof. Bishop of Bukomba and Western Tanzania Mr. Chrysostomos, with the presence of all the brothers and friends of the Monastery and the relatives and friends of the ordained from all over Tanzania.
